Clients Share Thoughts and Experiences at Children's Safety Centers

Children’s Safety Centers received the following letter from Jill, a custodial parent:

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

I want to take a moment to sincerely thank you all for the services my family has received through your organization.  At a time in our lives when there were critical safety and health issues, your program allowed my child to safely remain in contact with his father.  I will always be grateful for that possibility.  The Children’s Safety Center has played an essential role in helping to reestablish a peaceful and respectful rapport involving both parents and child.  Our son is adjusting to a new family format with much healthier parents.  With your guidance, protection, professionalism and respect for all participants, I believe that my son, his father, and I have gained a great deal.

My son always felt comfortable and safe while interacting with his father at your center.  I believe your program had a profound effect on his father’s motivation to approach my son as a supportive and respectful father.  My son has had his first unsupervised visit with his dad.  He left a happy and while little boy, and returned a happy and whole little boy.  It was obvious that he had been nurtured and well cared for.  There has been a definite renewal of respect in having the privilege of raising our child and the dignity that being a good parent can afford.

Had our family not received professional intervention the result might have been harsh and hateful at best, with a constant potential fear of tragedy.  I am thankful to be a part of a social system that supports organizations like yours.  You have helped to facilitate healing of a child and his parents.  The protective format of the Children’s Safety Center has made a great impact on helping our family through a very stressful situation while advocating non-violence and providing guidance and helpful information.

Children’s Safety Centers received the following letter from James, a non-custodial parent:

Dear Children’s Safety Centers,

I want to take a moment and thank you for your services while I visited my children at your center.  Being without my children has been one of the most painful things I have ever been through in my life.  Dealing with not being with my children and taking care of myself mentally and emotionally was my priority.  During this time, I had many financial setbacks and was concerned that I would not be able to afford my child support and the cost of seeing my children at CSC.  When I asked Kelley about any options she slowed me to send in my financial documentation and was able to offer me a reduced amount to pay.

This saved me and my relationship with my kids.  My children are only 3 and 5 and need consistency in their life.  With help from CSC, I was allowed to see my kids and keep the consistent connection.  I did not have to suffer through months of not having time with my kids because of finances.

Thank you for allowing me to be successful and give me time to do the things I needed to do in the best interest of my kids.

I will always be grateful to CSC and the financial help that was given to me.
