Children’s Safety Centers is a leader in facilitating safe and structured visitation and exchange services for families affected by crisis and safety concerns. Our services allow families to rebuild and strengthen relationships in a safe, confidential and observed environment.

Children’s Safety Centers was born of its founding directors need to have a safe place for her children to interact with their father. Her desire for a secure environment where families could rebuild trust and rapport, both parent-to-parent and parent-to-child, grew into a service that has helped renew broken families for almost two decades.

Children’s Safety Centers offers multiple visitation sites, each staffed with a site supervisor and trained security guard, for the protection of both the child and parent. Visits are arranged to meet the safety needs of the family, with observation notes taken as needed.

Children’s Safety Centers also provides visitation and exchange services during the holidays  and hosts an annual holiday party for children, their non-custodial parents and extended families. This may be the only holiday celebration the children will have with that parent and the only opportunity to visit with non-custodial grandparents and extended family.

Children’s Safety Centers assisted in the drafting of both state and federal legislation for visitation programs. We founded the Minnesota Chapter of the Supervised Visitation Network. The program has been used as the model for numerous supervised visitation programs instituted as far away as Australia and New Zealand.
