FAQ

Q: When is supervised visitation appropriate?

A: Supervised visitation is appropriate for families with a variety of histories, including:

  • Physical, emotional and sexual abuse
  • Domestic Violence
  • Chemical dependency
  • Mental illness
  • Neglect
  • Children separated from their parents

Q: Who pays for supervised visitation?

A: Traditionally both parents will split the cost of the service. The judge makes that decision based on the financial status of the parents and information given to them by the attorneys. The court order can state which parent(s) are responsible for fees.

Q: How is the payment made for visits?

A: Each visit at CSC requires a copay. Once a client makes payment, that client receives a voucher for their service date. Upon arrival at CSC for a scheduled visit this voucher must be presented as proof of payment.

Payments for vouchers must be made by 7 pm the Thursday before a visit. If there is not sufficient time before your visit to mail your voucher, a $5 hold fee will be charged.

Q: How long is each supervised visit?

A: CSC offers two hour visitation periods.

Q: What activities can I do with my children during a supervised visit?

A: CSC offers a family-friendly environment, including a full kitchen, toys and games, television and video games, game room, and backyard playground.

Q: How do I get started for services?

A: Call to schedule an intake appointment. 651-774-4990. There is a $50 intake and registration fee. Bring any court documents you may have and come prepared to discuss your circumstances and which level of service may be right for you.
